Horizontal Fuel Storage Tanks

Firoz Faizi Industrial Company designs and manufactures horizontal fuel storage tanks based on sound engineering practice and in line with the principles of API 650 for atmospheric tanks and EN 12285 for horizontal cylindrical tanks. These units are used for the storage of diesel, gasoline, fuel oil and other petroleum products at depots, filling stations and industrial sites.

Capacity & Materials

  • Typical capacities from 10,000 L up to 200,000 L, custom-built to project requirements
  • Cylindrical shell and dished heads fabricated from carbon steel ST37 / S235JR, with the option of ST52 / A516 Gr.70 for more demanding services
  • Shell and head thickness calculated according to product head, operating conditions and transport loads

Supports & Access

  • Mounted on engineered saddle supports designed for both empty and full operating weights
  • Suitable for installation on reinforced concrete foundations or steel skids, depending on site conditions
  • Optional access ladder and top walkway for safe operation and inspection

Nozzles & Process Connections

  • Inlet, outlet, return line, drain and vent nozzles arranged according to process design and required flow rates
  • Manhole for internal inspection, cleaning and maintenance
  • Provision for level gauges, volume indicators and instrumentation (level transmitters, overfill protection, etc.) as per client specification

Safety, Testing & Quality Control

  • Welding carried out in accordance with qualified WPS/PQR, using SMAW / FCAW / SAW processes
  • Visual inspection of all welds and, where specified, non-destructive testing (UT, PT, MT) on critical joints
  • Hydrostatic testing of each tank prior to delivery, with complete QC documentation and test reports

Coating & Corrosion Protection

  • Surface preparation by blasting and application of a multi-layer industrial coating system (epoxy primer and UV-resistant topcoat) suited to local environmental conditions
  • Option for special linings or cathodic protection for highly corrosive services
