Floating Roof Storage Tanks in Accordance with API 650
Firoz Faizi Industrial Company designs, fabricates and installs cylindrical floating roof storage tanks (internal and external floating roof tanks) in accordance with API 650 (relevant annexes for floating roofs), taking into account API 653 for inspection and API 2000 / NFPA 30 for venting and fire safety. These tanks are specifically used to reduce product losses and emissions during the storage of gasoline, crude oil and other light petroleum products in terminals and refineries.
Key Specifications
- Design and fabrication in capacities of approximately 1,000 m³ up to more than 20,000 m³, according to product and project requirements
- Shell and bottom plates manufactured from Carbon Steel ST52 in accordance with EN/ASTM standards, with a reinforced bottom using annular plates for proper sealing and stress distribution
- Internal or external floating roof execution with sealing systems in line with API 650, providing minimum vapor space and significant reduction of evaporation losses
- Provision of service nozzles, manholes, level gauges, roof support systems, guides and safety equipment to match process and P&ID requirements
- Breathing and safety system including breather valves, flame arresters and vents, with the option of foam connections for tank fire-fighting systems
